Choose Game
Changing this setting will switch your hosted game and your running server will be stopped. Your current game's save files, settings, and manual backups will be preserved and you will be able to switch back at any time.
Enshrouded has higher resource requirements and price differences so you cannot switch to it, please order a separate server. Close
Quick Start Guide
Step 1 Set the name for your server - This is how it will appear in the in-game server browser. The in-game server list has a bug where it will only show a small subset of servers and you may not be able to see yours even though it is listed, so see How to Connect below instead.
Step 2 Set the password for your server - It must be at least 6 characters and cannot contain the exact name of your server that you set in step one. If you want your server to be public, enter a blank password.
Step 3 Customize your game rules - Use a rules preset or choose Custom to tweak your V Rising game settings, including drop rates and clan sizes. See this official PDF for details on all of the options.
Step 4 (optional) Upload your own save files - If you already have a save file that you want to import, click the icon next to "Upload Save" for instructions. Otherwise, just click Start and a new save will be created.
Note if you use mods: The first time you enable any mod on a V Rising server or after a game update, it can take between 5 and 10 minutes for the server to start up. Please be patient.
How to Connect
Open V Rising, select Play, then Online Play, then Show all Servers in the bottom right, and finally Direct Connect at the bottom. Paste your Server IP - 135.148.53.44:5220 - and click Connect
Contact Support
There should be a chat icon in the bottom right corner of your control panel that allows you to contact us.
If you do not see the icon you may have a content blocker extension that is preventing it from being displayed.
You can also click here to access the support chat directly.
Our support team will not be able to assist you with setting up game rules or with game mechanics or client side issues. We recommend asking in the official V Rising Discord for help.
IF YOU ARE REQUESTING A MOD READ THIS FIRST
Some V Rising mods are client-side mods that do not need to be installed on your server to work. Unless the mod description specifically has instructions for servers, please install the mod on your computer and attempt playing on the server with it before contacting us.
Valheim Lag Information
Lag issues, unfortunately, don't have anything to do with our servers and instead with how Valheim works. Our servers run underloaded and they are connected to one of the most well-peered providers in the world. You'll run into the same issues at any server host.
Valheim uses a unique Hybrid-P2P system for multiplayer not like any other game, the game is not actually run on the server but on one player's PC/console. When a new player enters a zone they become the "host" of that zone (or chunk), and all of the game logic (physics, enemies, chests, fighting, items, doors, etc.) is then run on that player's computer or console. The server just relays information from the host player - if another player performs an action it gets sent to the server, then to the host player, then back to the server, then to the player that performed it to confirm. This means that if the host player has a poor connection, is far away from the server, or has a slow computer every other player in the zone will see all sorts of lag, glitches, and even disconnects.
The only way to reduce the impact of this is to make sure the first player in a new zone has a very good connection to the server and a powerful system. You can usually ensure this by making less effective host players portal to a different zone and then come back, with the well-connected player staying put.
You can find more technical info on the Valheim Wiki
Upload Your World Files
You can find your world files at this location on Windows (You may need to move from cloud to local in-game first)
Paste this path into the "File Name" section of the window that appears when you choose your DB and FWL files and you should see all of your offline worlds.
Please remember that you must have both files, and that they must be for the same world. You can safely ignore any .db.old and .fwl.old files, they are not needed.
Upload Your Save Files
You can find your local V Rising save files at this location
From this path, open the folder with your SteamID, then v3, then your unique GUID (it will look something like e44b2230-54eb-4e1d-975c-cddd5eab4069) and inside you should see numbered AutoSave gz files. Upload the most recent one (for example AutoSave_99.save.gz).
You can also follow these instructions to upload a save from another server host, just use the most recent AutoSave file from the world you would like to upload.
Upload Your Save Files
You can find your local Sons of the Forest save files at this location
From this path, open the folder with your SteamID, then Multiplayer, then your desired save slot (ex. 0000000001). Inside of the save slot folder, select ALL of the files inside and then right-click and choose Compress to ZIP file.
Use the ZIP file you just created when uploading your save to the control panel. You can also follow these instructions to upload a save from another server host.
Upload Your Save Files
There is no consistently working method to upload a single player or self-hosted game save to your Palworld server. You can use this form to manipulate and upload server save files. We currently provide no assistance in advanced methods of transferring Palworld saves, do so at your own risk.
Upload Your Save Files
You can find your local Enshrouded save files at this location
From this path, open the folder with your SteamID, then 1203620, then remote, select ALL of the files inside and then right-click and choose Compress to ZIP file.
Use the ZIP file you just created when uploading your save to the control panel. You can also follow these instructions to upload a save from another server host.
V Rising 1.1: Invaders of Oakveil has been released. There is a new server settings (Custom game rules) guide published by Stunlock, it is available here.
We have re-enabled V Rising mods, please remember that the first time you enable a mod or any time there is a game patch your server will take a very long time (up to 10 minutes) to start up. Any mods that are still disabled have not been updated to work with version 1.1 yet.
Your server must have been started at least once after ordering to generate the necessary folders for FTP access to work.
The server needs to be stopped in order to delete or overwrite mods, otherwise they will be in use.
If you disable FTP mode anything in the 'plugins' and 'config' folders will be reset the next time your server is restarted.
We manage your game server files and BepInEx core installation, they are not accessible through FTP.
Your adminlist, whitelist and world files continue to be managed by the Web UI - we do not recommend modifying them by FTP as they may be overwritten.
Mod files and settings are not included by our backup system when FTP mode is enabled.
You cannot simultaneously use FTP mode and our mod manager, it is one or the other.
We recommend using FileZilla Client to access FTP.
